wade trips
Do you like dodging the waterfall crowds and the over used trailheads? Getting off the beaten path alittle and seeing what the NC backcountry has to offer? Come explore the rivers and streams by foot in the wilderness of Pisgah National Forest and western North Carolina. We can hike as little or as much as you’d like and still have plenty of space to ourselves at most of the locations we fish. These are not “private waters”, where we feed fish and name them. 10-15 inch, tricky fish are normally the name of the game, with a few bigger trout mixed in depending what river we are on. This is an authentic experience to the natural offerings of the region and what it has to provide for an adventurous angler. We guide most rivers within an hour of Asheville and depending on where you choose to stay, there’s probably water close by. Your guide will reach out a few days before the trip to plan a meeting place and a good time to get started. Wade trips are half days(4 hours) or a full-day(8 hours) and one guide can accommodate one to two people. If there is more than two people in your party, an additional guide may be needed. On wade trips we provide waders, rods, boots and all tackle needed.
float trips
Float trips are a great way to kick back, relax, and fish some bigger water in the area. we mainly float the Tuckasegee river in western North Carolina, and in east Tennessee we fish the South Holston and Watauga rivers. All Gear is provided and a cooler with ice and lunch are provided on float trips and also on full day wade trips. your guide will discuss any dietary restrictions before the trip and try to plan accordingly. A Tennessee fishing license will be needed if we fish the South Holston or Watauga. All float trips can accommodate 1 or 2 anglers.
